Wild Volunteers are based in Hluhluwe, in northern KwaZulu-Natal, a coastal province in South Africa. The local area is home to some of the country’s iconic wildlife such as black and white rhinos, lions and leopards.

The location also boasts a stunning variety of landscapes, which include beaches, mountains and savannah.

Situated in Hluhluwe, KwaZulu-Natal we take away all the long haul travel generally associated with a trip to Southern Africa making it extremely cost effective and hassle free.

Places to Go!

Hluhluwe a three-hour drive away from Durban – Durban is a great location to enjoy some retail therapy and relax on the beach with a nice cold drink.

Richards bay is only an hour and a half from Hluhluwe and is also a very nice get away for the day, you can get all of your gifts to take home with you and also pop into the local cinema to see what’s on!
Hluhluwe town is a short drive up the R22 and has many lovely places to stop for breakfast, lunch or just a great milk shake.

Falaza game reserve is situated 10 minutes away towards town – Falaza is a fantastic place to unwind and get spar treatments.

Hluhluwe-iMfolozi is 40-minute drive from base camp and is a great way to spend a day. As Africa 0ldest proclaimed game reserve, it has beautiful landscapes and is home to the ‘Big 5’. A day out in the park presents great photography opportunities.
